Summary:
The Assistant Director of Donor Relations plays a pivotal role in stewarding relationships with alumni, corporate sponsors, and new donors. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position focuses on expanding the donor base, fostering growth, and ensuring organizational sustainability and growth by enhancing relationships and implementing strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow the Corporate Sponsorship program.
Lead staff and Corporate Sponsorship volunteer team to maximize engagement and support.
Expand the alumni donor base by stewarding new donor relationships and implementing effective outreach strategies.
Spearhead, plan, and execute all fundraising events associated with corporate sponsors, alumni, parents of alumni, and grandparents, increasing engagement.
Utilize social media platforms targeted to alumni such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook to network and build relationships.
Manage the alumni page and corporate sponsorship page on DC’s website to ensure accurate and engaging content.
Collaborate with and support the growth of the DC Alumni Board and alumni network.
Maintain accurate contact information in Raiser's Edge/NXT to facilitate effective communication.
Develop strong relationships with high school seniors to increase participation in alumni events.
Highlight notable alumni accomplishments and contributions through monthly alumni spotlight stories and through yearly Distinguished Alumni Award.
Coordinate other fundraising events as assigned.
Collaborate with the team to produce The Connection magazine (twice a year).
Collaborate with the Director of Development and Development Council on strategic initiatives.

Proactive approach to professional growth and learning, with proficiency in database navigation (currently using RE/NXT).
Preference for candidates who are alumni of DC, although not required.
High energy and passion for Christian education.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Demonstrated self-starter mentality and commitment to data privacy and donor confidentiality.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in a donor-facing role, with a focus on fundraising and capital campaigns.
Strong project management skills.
Reports to the Director of Development.
